Job Description
We are looking for an Auditing Clerk to join a non-profit organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who brings prior auditing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to keep financial and administrative records accurate and well organized. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to day-to-day audit-related activities while working closely with internal teams and supporting efficient business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Review financial and administrative records to identify discrepancies, confirm accuracy, and support compliance with internal standards.
- Maintain organized documentation and track audit findings to ensure records are complete, accessible, and up to date.
- Communicate with staff across departments to gather information, clarify issues, and resolve documentation gaps in a timely manner.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, to analyze data, prepare reports, and support routine auditing tasks.
- Assist with payroll or personnel-related record review when needed, particularly in areas connected to HR administration.
- Support audit preparation and follow-up activities by monitoring outstanding items and helping coordinate next steps.
- Work with systems such as Paylocity when applicable to review relevant employee or payroll information.
- Contribute to process accuracy by identifying inconsistencies and escalating concerns appropriately.
