  • MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT FOR 2 WEEKS
Hours Worked:
May be Adjusted according to Management Needs 1st
Shift:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 2nd
Shift:
3:00 PM to 11:30 AM This position has the responsibilities for:
  • To provide in-process inspections and record results.
  • To identify material / product needing to be placed on "HOLD".
  • Completion of all departmental paperwork.
  • Maintain housekeeping in Quality Lab.
  • To place any production found to be non-conforming on hold and notify production.
  • Perform sorting and rework activity of hold product as required and assist production in completing sorting activity.
  • Contain and identify product due to customer outflow.
  • Review, at the start of each shift, the operator instructions, packaging instructions and when applicable all visual samples.
  • Review running production for any defects and inspect product as defined by the Control Plan.
  • Notify shift supervisor immediately of problems which affect the quality of the product or deem the process to be unstable.
  • Final Inspection of WIP and finished product.
Needed Competencies include:
  • Understanding of Quality Policy and how it affects their job.
  • Basic understanding of SPC.
  • Basic understanding of metrology including the use of the following gages: Calipers, Micrometers, CMM, Microvu, Optical Comparator, Gage Pins, Holding Fixtures, Indicators, etc.
  • Understanding of SQC Pack.
  • Ability to understand blueprints and GD&T.
  • Ability to evaluate color.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent Pay:
$15.00 - $15.50 per hour
