The anticipated start date is October 1, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Internal Auditor participates in planning internal audits and in identifying risks and related controls, including potential fraud risks. Therefore, this position assists in developing audit objectives and programs, documents client interviews and other interactions with clients.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA or CIA required within the first year. A master's degree may be substituted for required certifications. Ability to prepare complex audit reports. Competent verbal and written communication skills are expected. Demonstrated professionalism in working with confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and tact. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Possesses and applies a high level of knowledge of auditing concepts, practices and procedures, as well as experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Able to handle a high degree of work complexity and granted a similar degree of creativity and latitude. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
University-based or large organization-based accounting experience. Demonstrated ability to learn and keep abreast of university policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing professions, and changes in local, state, and federal laws, as applicable.
