Job Description

Responsibilities:
The Posting Clerk serves as the primary assistant to the Operations Manager in matters related to all aspects of financial administration of cases managed by the Trusteeship. On a daily basis the incumbent is to receive, segregate and balance daily deposits with bank records received from the lockbox. The incumbent is also responsible for posting and writing refund checks and special payments to creditors that have been properly requested and authorized.
Duties:
The primary duties of the Posting Clerk include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Post all daily receipt received from the lockbox
  • Post all daily ePay receipts received from the bank
  • Post and generate all approved manual/computer mid-month checks
  • Reconcile the BOH for the confirmed and unconfirmed Trust Accounts
  • Prepare a request to transfer funds between the confirmed and unconfirmed Trust Accounts
  • Review mail log and send payments received to the lockbox
  • Attach documents received from the lockbox to the appropriate case
  • Research all discrepancies in receipts posted
  • Void & reissue checks as requested and approved
  • Transfer funds between accounts and/or claim if required and approved
  • Answer inquires regarding plan payments posted to debtor ledger accounts
  • Assist with the Month End Routine
  • Prepare requests for debtor refunds for payments received on closed, converted, and dismissed cases
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Trustee and/or
Office Administrator Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
