This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, identifying discrepancies, improving processes, and helping maintain strong internal controls. Experience in the real estate, settlement services, or title insurance industry is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations for escrow, operating, and trust accounts Review transactions for accuracy and identify discrepancies, exceptions, or unusual activity Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation, preparing reports, and assisting with follow-up items Help maintain compliance with company policies, lender requirements, underwriter standards, and applicable regulations Participate in account cleanup projects, including resolving aged balances, correcting ledger issues, and organizing records Assist in risk assessments by reviewing workflows, identifying control gaps, and escalating concerns when appropriate Monitor deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance checklists Maintain accurate files, logs, and documentation for audit readiness Work collaboratively with accounting, operations, post-closing, and management teams Recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency Qualifications Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Comfortable reviewing financial reports and identifying inconsistencies Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting/software systems
Pay:
Hourly, $24-28 per hour depending on experience
