family Continuous improvement Vendor communication Computer skills Technical skills instruction Quality audits Quality control communication Internal audit control reports Production process auditing Quality control records management Environmental management systems Communication skills Audit support Full Job Description This position is expected to assist in the continual improvement and strengthening of the Master Finish Company's quality system by: Supporting quality assurance team in ensuring consistent training and inspection processes throughout all shifts of production, and retention of quality boundary samples
Essential Functions:
Understand and implement the
ISO 14001
EMS and 9001 QMS policies as they pertain to the position, and perform internal audits of those policies and procedures Perform training of new and existing inspection personnel Performing inspection of raw incoming products and finished product Conduct in-process and dock audits of inspectors' work Approve / reject inspector's work based on audit findings Provide feedback / communicate required quality criteria adjustments to inspectors Document audit results by completing logs and reports, as needed Assist Quality Manager in retention of signed off samples Know where to obtain and how to apply inspection requirements for various parts Know part number identification, packaging and labeling requirements Communicate with suppliers regarding quality of incoming products as needed Perform gauging of incoming and outgoing product Fulfill all other duties as requested by supervisor

Work Environment:
Close-toed shoes are required when working in and around production areas. Temperature of manufacturing plant can become humid and hot Follow general safety guidelines and procedures when working with and around machinery
Physical Requirements:
(May) require standing, twisting or bending for 80% or more of the shift (May) require lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience A worker shall: Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety & Health Act and the regulations. Report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself, herself or another worker. To ensure that no unauthorized people enter the company facilities. Verify that all doors are locked and lights, equipment, etc. are turned off when required. Ensure that the building is a clean and safe workplace at all times.
No worker shall:
Remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the regulations or by his or her employer, without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has ceased, the protective device shall be replaced immediately. Use or operate any equipment, machine, device or thing or work in a manner that may endanger himself, herself or any other worker. Engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
