Quality Auditor -
Automotive Parts Inspector Location:
Lapeer, MI Shift Schedule:
2d Shift - 2:00pm to 10:00pm Join Our Team Lapeer Plating & Plastics is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Automotive Parts Inspectors . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our automotive components meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. If you have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in producing top-quality work, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do Inspect Parts:
Perform detailed visual and manual inspections of molded and plated automotive parts.
Verify Quality:
Check components against customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Document Findings:
Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality logs.
Identify Defects:
Detect surface flaws, dimensional issues, and cosmetic defects; separate nonconforming parts. Follow GP-12
Standards:
Adhere to customer-specific GP-12 inspection requirements. Collaborate with
Team:
Communicate issues to supervisors and production teams to support continuous improvement.
Maintain Work Area:
Keep inspection station clean, organized, and compliant with safety and 5S standards. What We're Looking For Must be 18 years or older . Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects. Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling parts repeatedly. Ability to read and follow work instructions, quality standards, and basic measurement tools. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is a plus, but not required—training provided!
