FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY AUDITOR

• 2 nd SHIFT
• AUSTIN PLANT This position reports to the Food Safety and Quality Supervisor II
• Austin Plant. The work schedule for this position is Monday
• Friday 3:00 p.

m. to 11:30 a.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The person in this position : Utilizes AS400, Citrix/IQS, LabVantage, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer based systems to support FSQ operations and product release activities. Reviews and audits HACCP, formulation, label verification, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements. Compiles, maintains, and reports audit findings and other quality and food safety data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintains and monitors FSQ records and file room documentation, ensuring records are accurate, organized, readily accessible, and properly controlled. Labels, tracks, prepares, and processes pathogen, raw material, meat age, and other routine food safety and quality samples in LabVantage to support Certificate of Analysis requirements and product release activities. Accurately enters, maintains, and verifies R D, plant analytical, and quality related data within designated systems. Supports FSQ Supervision and management with departmental projects, inspections, communications, and operational initiatives. Serves as a liaison with USDA personnel during pre-operational inspections and other regulatory activities. Provides backup coverage and support for FSQ Auditors and other department functions during absences, vacations, and business needs. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to accurately review documentation, identify discrepancies, and maintain compliance with food safety and quality requirements. Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, LIMS, AS400, Word, and Excel. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including on damp or slippery surfaces. Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 40°F.
