Job Description

Verify all required documents are present to approve each charge detail. Use systems, exception reports, and knowledge to ensure client satisfaction through a trained audit process. Learn and retain transportation industry specific information to audit a freight bill properly. Such as the following points of info: Comfortable with contacting freight carriers to get resolution regarding the following via email: Comfortable with contacting clients to get resolution regarding the following via email: Apply GL codes manually to charge details if the system cannot automatically code. Mihlfeld & Associates, Inc. manages a range of 10 different transportation modes. An auditor will be required to know a minimum of 4 modes and all its audit requirements. Attends meetings periodically for new client implementation, annual client reviews, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Document Verification:
Review and verify that all required documents are present for each charge detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
System Utilization:
Use auditing systems and exception reports to assess charge details and ensure client satisfaction.
Industry Knowledge:
Acquire and apply knowledge specific to the transportation industry to accurately audit freight bills.
Communication:
Contact freight carriers and clients via email to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
GL Code Application:
Manually apply General Ledger (GL) codes to charge details when the system does not automatically code them.
Transportation Modes:
Gain expertise in a minimum of four different transportation modes managed by Mihlfeld & Associates, Inc., and understand their specific audit requirements.
Client Interaction:
Participate in meetings for new client implementations, annual reviews, and other relevant discussions. Compensation:
hourly, non-exempt, $17.00 per hour •
