As an Audit Staff II, you'll be part of a team that helps government organizations strengthen accountability, improve operations, and make the most of public resources. You'll gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and develop specialized expertise within a growing area of public accounting. What You'll Do In this role, you'll participate in audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements for government entities and related organizations. You'll work closely with senior team members to perform testing, prepare workpapers, analyze financial information, and assist in developing conclusions and recommendations. As your experience grows, you'll take on increasing responsibility, interact more directly with clients, and expand your knowledge of government auditing standards, compliance requirements, and industry-specific issues. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while building the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success in public accounting. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools A collaborative, team-oriented approach Education & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Internship experience, public accounting experience, or relevant accounting experience Preferred Audit internship experience Public accounting experience Experience with governmental entities, the Auditor of State, or government audit engagements Exposure to construction, engineering, or public infrastructure organizations CPA eligibility or progress toward certification Why Government Services?
