Assurance Assistant 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 1421 E 45th St, Shawnee, OK 74804 FINLEY & COOK PLLC 20 reviews Position Overview Responsible for applying established procedures to analyze information, prepare appropriate documentation and accomplish projects in accordance with professional and Peer Review Standards in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with professional, Peer Review, generally accepted accounting principles and other applicable policies and procedures. Perform audit, attest, accounting, and review services strategy and plan approved by the Partner and assigned by audit senior, manager or partner. Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; professional statements, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintain confidentiality of all information. Other duties as assigned by Management. Skills and Qualifications Able to analyze information skillfully. Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Ability to reason and decide among various alternatives. Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; and professional auditing, attestation, and accounting and review standards. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Good analytical, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude. Strong organization skills with attention to detail. Motivated self-starter with ability to work autonomously, multitask and accurately complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines. Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment. Dedicated to superior client service. Language Skills Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in English.

Zero to 1 year experience in Audit. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times. Work Hours and Duration Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. This job is a salaried position and due to the nature of the business and position, may require different/additional hours to accomplish the objectives. Extended hours are required during busy times throughout the year depending upon workload and deadlines. Travel Requirements Travel is frequent for this position; thus, employees must have reliable transportation, an active driver's license and valid automobile insurance. All efforts will be made to give as much advance notice as possible for required out-of-town overnight travel arrangements.
