Job Description
Quality Auditor 2nd shiftJob OverviewPerform quality audits, inspections, testing, and measurements for assigned manufacturing areas.
Conduct laboratory and production quality testing on casting, annealing, and finished-machine samples.
Record and enter test results accurately while maintaining quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality plans, work instructions, and plant standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform chemistry analysis on casting samples.
Conduct tensile, yield, elongation, hardness, grain size, and expansion testing.
Perform solution concentration, ID/OD residue, and other required quality tests.
Conduct quality audits on machines and products.
Use and verify quality testing equipment and measurement instruments.
Record test results and enter data into the AS-400 system and other software.
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, scales, and indicators.
Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and test data.
Report quality results and issues to appropriate departments.
Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
Train new quality auditors as required.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Follow all safety rules, work instructions, and Quality Plans.
QualificationsExperience in quality inspection, quality control, laboratory testing, or manufacturing preferred.
Ability to perform basic chemistry and materials testing.
Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, gauges, hardness testers, scales, and measurement equipment.
Ability to measure to tight tolerances, including 0.0001 inch using micrometers.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, averages, and rounding.
Ability to read and understand Quality Plans, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Computer skills and ability to enter and maintain quality data in AS-400 or similar systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate test results effectively with production and other departments.
Ability to follow chemical-handling and laboratory safety procedures.
Ability to maintain testing equipment and laboratory work areas.
