MISO Intern:

Take on meaningful, high‑impact projects in Internal Audit—performing control testing, evaluating business processes, documenting audit evidence, and contributing to risk mitigation and compliance (including Entity Level and Sarbanes‑Oxley audit exposure). Work side‑by‑side with your manager and mentor and connect with a cross‑departmental buddy to expand your network and understand how different teams support MISO's mission. Learn from industry experts during interactive lunch & learn sessions. Attend community service events, intern socials, networking activities, and development programming to help you grow your confidence, build relationships, and understand MISO's broader mission. Wrap up the summer with a final presentation summarizing your project work, recommendations, and areas of impact.

Have strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Are eager to learn from an experienced audit team and gain exposure to Entity Level and Sarbanes‑Oxley audits.
