A well-established and highly respected public accounting firm near Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its growing team. Position Summary:
The Audit Manager will play a key role in leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring staff. This position is primarily onsite with some flexibility for a hybrid schedule and includes travel—primarily local—for client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion Review financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable standards Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues with clients and leadership Assist with workflow management and scheduling of engagements Provide support on tax engagements during peak seasons as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in public accounting CPA license or actively pursuing CPA required Strong experience in audit and assurance services Preferred industry experience: government, non-profit, telecommunications, and school audits Exposure to tax preparation/support is a plus Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
