Strong candidates will possess:
BA/BS in Accounting (required) Minimum 5 years' public accounting experience in audit and/or accounting services CPA or working toward obtaining CPA Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Adept at analyzing financial information, identifying issues, and recommending solutions Proficiency with audit and accounting software (preferably CCH Engagement, Knowledge Coach, QuickBooks or similar) Advanced Excel skills Hard-worker, dedicated, self-motivated Responsibilities Provide staff and/or managerial level support in planning, performing, and reviewing financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for a diverse client base. Lead or support fieldwork, including testing internal controls, performing substantive procedures, and documenting audit findings. Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other applicable frameworks. Assist clients with accounting matters, including reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and year-end closing procedures. Identify and communicate audit issues, risks, and proposed solutions to partners and clients. Collaborate with partners on technical research, development of audit strategies, and resolution of complex accounting matters. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service delivery. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
