WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR FINANCIAL AUDITOR
1+ year(s) of recent, relevant experience with external financial audits for non-profits and/or government entities Suitable remote workspace for working from home You'll be working on the computer, so technology proficiency and experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) would be helpful! Experience using timekeeping or project management software (QuickBooks, AuditFile, etc.) would also be preferred.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Typical work hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday . The Financial Auditor performs thorough audits to measure regulatory compliance and assist clients in identifying and strengthening risk areas. Accuracy and attention to detail will be critical, as you'll be responsible for planning the audits and completing all necessary paperwork (including internal control, substantive, and compliance documents). You'll use auditing and statistical techniques to obtain data, determine areas for improvement, and build effective audit programs accordingly. As you work, you'll make sure to follow all GAGAS standards in all activities and documentation. You'll prepare detailed final audit reports, walk through the findings with clients, and perform entrance/exit conferences to maintain strong relationships. Additionally, you'll mentor interns on the audit process, answer questions, and support them as they take the first steps in their own auditing careers!
