Job Description
Accurate physician coding is essential to delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the financial strength of a health system. As a Coding Quality Specialist 2, you will play a critical role in connecting clinical documentation to accurate reimbursement while partnering with providers and operational teams across a nationally recognized academic health system. - The Role
- As a Coding Quality Specialist 2, you will work within UVA Health's Professional Physician Coding team, serving as a subject matter expert responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, assigning accurate professional service codes, and ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements across multiple physician specialties.
A typical day may include:
+ Reviewing provider documentation and assigningaccurateCPT, HCPCS, andICD-10-CM

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The pay range for this role is $17.66 - $35.32 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.- Benefits
