Transformative We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our team! Senior Associates are responsible to all levels above the Senior Associate level. Senior Associates simultaneously conduct multiple engagements and maintain secondary contact with clients. The Senior Associate serves as the primary day‑to‑day engagement lead, planning and coordinating work, supervising Associates, and reviewing work performed. Senior Associates demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment, and communication skills essential for developing staff and supporting client relationships. Continuing professional education is more focused in specific technical areas, with management and leadership development beginning at this level.
What your day looks like:
Directs engagements, including responsibility for timelines, budgets, schedules, and the assignment of Associates. Reviews and prepares workpapers and related client deliverables. May begin to specialize in one or more areas of the Firm's practice. Supervises and provides guidance to Associates, including training, feedback, and on‑the‑job development. Leads and manages multiple engagements simultaneously, including coordinating staffing, overseeing workflow, and ensuring timely completion of all open items. Participates in proposals and other practice development or marketing activities, as appropriate. Serves as the primary day‑to‑day contact for client matters relevant to assigned engagements across applicable service lines. Leads day‑to‑day audit fieldwork for assigned engagements or engagement sections. Assigns audit tasks to Associates and provides guidance on testing and documentation requirements. Reviews audit workpapers and draft financial statement components for quality and compliance with firm and professional standards. Communicates audit progress, issues, and open items to Managers, Partners, and clients, as appropriate. Assists with research and planning in accordance with current laws and professional standards, including Generally Accepted Auditing (GAAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Maintains firm confidentiality. Follows firm policies by conforming to procedures outlined in the Associate Handbook. Develops an understanding of the firm's vision, plan, and strategies and their role in achieving them. Works sufficient hours needed in order to complete projects assigned. What you need for this role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years public accounting experience preferred. CPA designation preferred. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and firm supported software applications. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Willingness to remain current through continuing professional education and ongoing professional development. Ability to supervise and train Associates effectively. Ability to interact professionally and effectively.
