Job Description:
Withum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. This Audit Senior role will be based out of our Tysons Corner, VA office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. As an Audit Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in leading audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and delivering exceptional client service. This role focuses on clients in the real estate industry, including REITs, developers, real estate funds, and property managers. How You'll Spend Your Time Leading the engagement team on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, and compilations for real estate clients including REITs, developers, real estate funds and property managers Overseeing day-to-day operations of audit engagements including staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing workpapers, and providing feedback Collaborating with managers and partners to resolve client issues and provide strategic recommendations Reviewing general ledger accounts and financial statements for reliability and compliance Understanding real estate-specific regulations and compliance requirements Managing multiple engagements and deadlines across various teams Participating in professional development programs and firm initiatives The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA eligibility preferred 2-4 years of public accounting experience, ideally with real estate clients Strong technical knowledge of audit procedures and real estate accounting Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills Experience with audit software and ERP systems used in the real estate industry Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality work under deadlines #LI-JK1; #LI-Hybrid WithumSmith+Brown, PC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, (including pregnancy), genetic information, marital status, domestic partnership status, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship status, national origin, disability or handicap, veteran status, weight, height, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
