Uncapped Commission About the Role Are you a closer who actually cares about the person on the other side of the table? When a homeowner deals with a flood, fire, or mold outbreak, they aren't just looking for a contractor—they're looking for a lifeline. As a DEC Fire and Water Restoration Sales Representative , you are the first point of contact during a property crisis. You'll be responsible for meeting homeowners on-site, assessing the damage, and providing the expert guidance needed to start the restoration process. You aren't just selling a service; you're selling peace of mind and a path back to normalcy.
What You'll Do Rapid Response & Consultation:
Meet with homeowners at their property to assess water, fire, smoke, or mold damage.
Damage Assessment:
Utilize moisture meters, thermal imaging, and industry expertise to identify the full scope of the loss.
Scope of Work:
Write detailed, accurate estimates and scopes of work
Insurance Liaison:
Act as the bridge between the homeowner and their insurance adjuster to ensures claims are handled accurately and fairly.
Project Kickoff:
Transition the "sold" project to the production team, ensuring a seamless handoff for the homeowners. What We're Looking For The "Empathy Factor": You can handle high-stress situations with a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
Sales Grit:
A proven track record of closing deals and hitting targets in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Aptitude:
Comfort using estimation software and a solid understanding of residential/commercial construction.
Negotiation Skills:
Ability to advocate for the scope of work with insurance adjusters.
Flexibility:
Damage doesn't always happen between 9 and 5. A willingness to participate in an "on-call" rotation is required. Requirements Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (Company vehicle provided). Strong communication and digital literacy (iPad/Laptop proficiency). IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) are a huge bonus but not required for the right candidate. Benefits Aggressive Commission Structure. Company-provided vehicle, fuel card, and phone/laptop.
