Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Motor Vehicle Physical Damage (MVPD) Appraiser and become a vital part of our vehicle claims and repair process! In this energetic role, you will assess damaged vehicles, determine repair costs, and provide accurate estimates to facilitate efficient claims resolution. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, ensuring customers receive top-quality service while maintaining the integrity of our claims operations. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of physical damage and identify necessary repairs Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring accuracy and completeness Collaborate with repair shops, service writers, and claims adjusters to negotiate repair scopes and costs effectively Utilize mechanical knowledge and auto body repair expertise to evaluate repair options and recommend appropriate solutions Analyze vehicle damage reports, photos, and repair histories to support underwriting decisions and claims processing Maintain clear documentation of all assessments, estimates, and communications for record-keeping purposes Stay updated on automotive repair techniques and industry standards to provide expert evaluations Requirements Proven experience in auto estimating, auto body repair, or automotive collision repair process with strong analysis skills Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in automotive repair processes Excellent negotiation skills to work effectively with repair shops and claim stakeholders Ability to analyze complex damage scenarios accurately and efficiently Knowledge of auto estimating software tools and industry best practices is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Join us in delivering exceptional vehicle appraisal services that drive customer satisfaction!
