Full-time Position Summary:
The Collision Center Advisor appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claims settlements. This position coordinates with the Parts Department, Service Department and Collision Center Director to provide accurate repair timelines and keep customers informed of repair progress. Attention to detail and world class customer service skills are essential to deliver successful results. Essential Functions:
- Estimate all drive-in appointments and propose repair plans
- Complete estimate review with customer, prior damage walk-around sheets including all appropriate pictures while notating customer expectations and/or concerns in file
- Communicate to appropriate personnel all customer concerns and expectations
- Ensure that all expectations noted in file are met before delivering the vehicle to customer and all concerns expressed during drop-off have been handled
- Responsible for coordinating and creating detailed written supplements with the technicians next to the vehicle using estimating tablet in order to capture all damages from the beginning and minimize additional supplements as much as possible
- Process and communicate supplements to insurance companies one day after the vehicle is dropped off and/or authorization is given for same
- Ensure parts list is e-mailed to parts department as soon as authorization and estimate is complete as well as supplement parts estimates
- Coordinate daily parts updates with parts department, production team and technicians
- Provide repair plan communications including vehicle status updates to customers in every phase of the repair process.
- Ensure that all repair order files are opened in CRM and maintained in an organized manner including proper authorizations and all documentations
- Prepare and complete proper paperwork including post scans, frame measurements, alignment specs, copy of final estimate and final invoice for a complete final customer packet prior to vehicle delivery
- Ensure that all repair orders are balanced and invoiced prior to vehicle delivery followed by proper closing of the RO
- Ensure that all customer expectations and concerns have been met, vehicle has been properly diagnosed and all appropriate repairs have been completed
- Total loss administration
- Review open RO's list with manager and close all pending tickets by the 15th and 30-31st of each month
- De-notes duties that may be assisted by CSR if available
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid in-state driver's license with acceptable and safe driving record
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and processes to ensure safety and quality
- Up to date with required certificates
- Organization, teamwork and follow up skills.
