Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Field Adjuster to investigate and handle moderate-complexity first-party property claims requiring on-site inspections. The successful candidate will evaluate coverage and damages, prepare estimates, negotiate settlements, and provide professional, empathetic service to policyholders and other claim-related parties. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site property inspections, including scoping, photography, and damage estimates. Investigate and evaluate claims, including coverage, damages, and applicable policy provisions. Review relevant policies, leases, contracts, and other documentation. Communicate effectively with policyholders, contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, vendors, and internal staff. Prepare estimates, maintain accurate claim documentation and reserves, and draft claim correspondence. Negotiate settlements within assigned authority and escalate complex matters as appropriate. Coordinate with specialists, including Subrogation and Fire/Fraud Investigators. Participate in depositions, EUOs, mediations, trials, and other legal proceedings as needed. Stay current on construction costs, repair techniques, and industry practices. Travel throughout the assigned territory and participate in CAT/surge operations, including extended hours or overnight stays when necessary. Follow all applicable company, state, and federal regulations and policies. Qualifications Hawaii adjuster's license required and must be maintained. Minimum 5 years of property claims/field adjusting experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims systems/estimating software. Demonstrated ability to independently investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims. Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Professional and customer-focused approach, particularly in high-pressure situations. Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule. Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, with occasional travel outside the region.
