Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles, either in the field or virtually, to assess the extent of damage and needed repairs. Being mentoring more junior FAST team members. Identify and be involved in the vetting of vendors to support the appraisal process. Work closely with body shops and repair facilities to verify the accuracy of damage assessments, repair methods, and costs to ensure fair and reasonable settlements. Communicate effectively with policyholders to explain the claims and appraisal process, address concerns, and provide guidance on next steps. Ensure all appraisals comply with company policies, state regulations, and industry best practices. Accurately document and report appraisal findings, including photos, detailed estimates, and any other required documentation. Stay current with industry trends, repair methods, and new technologies. Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to maintain expertise and improve performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
3-5+ years of claims handling experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience Demonstrates a strong learning mindset, quickly adapting to new systems, processes, and claim practices. Solid interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and collaborate in a team environment Familiarity with multi-state claims regulations a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
