The ideal candidate will evaluate vehicle damage, prepare detailed repair estimates, and coordinate with customers and technicians to ensure efficient repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and experience in auto body repair estimation. The Collision Estimator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. Will consider bringing someone on in a training role, depending on prior experience and knowledge. Duties Assess vehicle damage through thorough inspections and diagnostic procedures Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair options, costs, and timelines Collaborate with technicians to determine necessary repairs, including collision repairs, mechanical work, or bodywork Manage parts ordering and coordinate with insurance companies for claim processing Maintain detailed documentation of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns professionally Qualifications Proven experience in auto estimating or collision repair management; dealership experience is a plus Familiarity with auto body repair processes and automotive service management software Experience in auto service sales or upselling additional services to customers Background in mechanic work or automotive repair including oil changes and vehicle maintenance is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly Ability to handle cash transactions accurately (cash handling experience preferred) This role offers an opportunity to be part of a professional team dedicated to delivering high-quality automotive repair services while providing exceptional customer care.
