Job Description

Auto Damage Appraiser - Southern VT | Flexible | Training + License Help | $60K-$100K Full-time or contract. Great opportunity for motivated individuals to build a high-income career. About the Role JSC Appraisals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Damage Appraiser to join our team in Southern Vermont. This position offers flexibility as either a full-time role or a contract opportunity, depending on your experience and availability. Are you currently an estimator at a repair shop and tired of the 8-5 schedule? This role offers more flexibility, independence, and income potential based on your productivity. No prior appraising experience? No problem. We will train the right motivated individual with a strong work ethic and interest in the automotive field. We're looking for someone who is self-driven, reliable, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong communication with clients, repair facilities, and insurance partners. Key Responsibilities Inspect and evaluate vehicle damage (in-person and/or virtual) Prepare accurate and timely damage estimates using industry-standard software Communicate clearly with repair shops, vehicle owners, and insurance representatives Negotiate repair costs when necessary Manage assignments efficiently and meet turnaround time expectations Maintain detailed documentation and photo records of inspections Qualifications Experience as an auto damage appraiser, estimator, or in collision repair is a plus—but not required Willingness to learn estimating platforms (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex, etc.) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule Excellent communication and negotiation skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Note:
A Vermont Auto Appraiser License is required . We will assist the right candidate in obtaining this license.
