Position SummaryThe RentalWorks Branch Manager will be responsibilities encompassesparticipation in the personnel processes of the branch staff,including, but not limited to hiring, supervision and evaluation ofstaff performance and identification of training needs, monitoringassets, maintaining awareness of under-utilized equipment,adherence to and interpretation of CW/RW policies and procedures,managing and supervising branch personnel, creating and proposingprocedures to the RW General Manager and evaluating methods toimprove work flow, and regularly exercise discretion andindependent judgment. All RW Branch Managers must be primarilyengaged in workflow supervision and methods, evaluation of branchoperations procedures, and analysis to ensure appropriate overalloperation. The Branch Manager will demonstrate and reinforce thecore values of the company: Safety, Service, Excellence.OperationsManagement Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promptly respond toaccidents/incidents and properly conduct preliminary fact-findinginvestigations. Report all accidents/incidents promptly to CWSafety Director.
- Customer Damage Process; oversee to completionall customer damage chargebacks to RW equipment, working with alldepartments necessary to get damaged units repaired in a timelymanner and associated Work Orders paid promptly.
- Assign primaryduties and daily tasks to subordinates.
- Assists in the completionof staff duties (i.e., writing contracts, dispatching, work orders,Solartrak administration and inventory, etc.)
- Audit rentalagreements regularly for order accuracy and address anydeficiencies.
- Full understand the Rentalman program utilizing allthe program's functions and capabilities to conduct daily business.
- Work with Service Manager to troubleshoot service repair issues,down equipment, ready-line equipment along with oversight of theGreen Tag Process and Wash Pad Operation.
- Conduct daily huddlewith inside sales / dispatch to ensure all daily activities arecompleted and plans are prepared for the following business day'stasks.
- Work with the service manager to promote and profit fromthe repair of customer-owned equipment.
- Conduct branch meetings;cover important problematic areas and identify areas to beimproved.
- Schedule workers according to business demands andeconomic climates.
- Establish guidelines, performanceexpectations, and goals for branch RW employees.
- Provide feedbackand periodically evaluate employee performance, conduct annualreviews.
- Provide advice and counseling and/or instruction tostaff members. Consult with Human Resources and RW GM prior toexecuting disciplinary measures.
- Train, evaluate, and follow-upwith employees.
- Implement & enforce all CW/RW policies andprocedures
- Cooperate and work harmoniously with all department,to include all levels of Management.
- Complete administrativefunctions (i.e., time approvals, contracts, cash drawers, trackstaff members' attendance, etc.). Maintain current and accuraterecords and ensure safe and compliant work practices.
- Activelymanage work progress and staff.
- To teach and demonstratetechnical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas to theinside sales team.
- Have a complete understanding of pricing,proposal procedures, and execute accordingly.
- Maximize allopportunities in the process of closing a sale and/or rental toacquire business from new and existing customers.
- Consults andmake recommendations to prospects and clients of the variousresources RW & CW offers.
- Perform other related duties incidentalto the work described herein.
Requirements:
Sales Management Duties& Responsibilities:
- Have a complete understanding of pricing,proposal procedures, and execute accordingly Consult and makerecommendations to prospects and clients of resources provided byRW & CW
- Coach, motivate, and develop sales team's ability toserve their customers
- Foster team environment enabling team tocapture new business and serve customers at a high level
- Willingto challenge the team and hold them accountable
- Manage salesplans, budgets, metrics, dashboards, pipeline/forecast, productmix, sales process and CRM
- Must be competitive, passionate, anddriven to serve others
- Must be comfortable in variousenvironments from the boardroom to the jobsite.
- Developrelationships across various groups of stakeholders
- Must be eagerto learning and teaching new strategies for personal andprofessional growth
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of mobilecranes and crane load charts
- Experience using 3d Lift Planprograms
- Understands and monitors fleet utilization
- Stronganalytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstandingorganizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Proven experience as a
Manager Education & Experience:
- HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years of management experience preferred License &Certification
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable drivingrecord
- Class A CDL preferred
- NCCCO or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment,equipment shop environment, or job site. The ability to drive atnight is required. Noise, fumes, and chemicals associated with ashop environment is expected.Physical Requirements:
- Prolongedperiods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must beable to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to climb on and offheavy mobile equipment safely
- Frequently walk on uneven surfaces,including natural ground in varying weather conditions
- Regularand predictable attendance is required
Travel Requirements:
- Overnight travel is required
