Branch Director / Senior Leadership The Area Supervisor for the Winslow Branch provides on‑site leadership and oversight for all Club operations in Winslow, ensuring high‑quality programming, strong staff culture, and deep community engagement. This role is responsible for building and developing team members , designing and strengthening programs that meet local youth needs , and supporting fundraising and sustainability efforts through community relationships and events. Position Summary The Area Supervisor serves as the lead relationship builder and operational steward for the Winslow Branch. This position blends hands‑on youth development with staff leadership, program innovation, and community partnership. The Area Supervisor ensures a safe, welcoming, and outcomes‑driven Club environment while helping position the Winslow Branch for long‑term growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Team Building & Staff Leadership Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor Youth Development Professionals and volunteers. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture aligned with Boys & Girls Club values. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for staff. Lead staff meetings, orientations, and trainings to ensure consistency, accountability, and excellence. Model professionalism, strong communication, and mission‑driven leadership at all times. Program Building & Quality Assurance Plan, develop, and oversee high‑quality programs across core areas such as Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, STEM, Arts, and Leadership. Adapt Boys & Girls Club curriculum to reflect the unique needs, culture, and interests of the Winslow community. Ensure programs meet organizational standards for safety, engagement, and measurable outcomes. Track attendance, participation, and youth progress; complete required reports and assessments. Create an environment where youth feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to grow. Fundraising & Community Engagement Support branch sustainability by assisting with fundraising efforts, including events, donor cultivation, and community campaigns. Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools, local businesses, tribal partners, and community leaders in Winslow. Serve as an ambassador for the Boys & Girls Club at community meetings, events, and outreach opportunities. Assist with grant‑funded programming expectations and partner reporting as needed. Collaborate with organizational leadership to identify local investment and partnership opportunities. Daily & Operational Responsibilities Ensure the safety, supervision, and engagement of all Club members ages 6-18. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Club environment. Communicate proactively with parents/guardians regarding youth behavior, progress, and Club events. Oversee equipment, supplies, and inventory; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Enforce Club rules and policies fairly and consistently. Administrative & Collaboration Submit weekly reports including attendance, staffing, programming highlights, and challenges. Collaborate with school partners and other community agencies supporting afterschool programming. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and organizational events as required. Assist with special events, trips, and Boys & Girls Club initiatives beyond daily programming. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in education, youth development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with youth in a leadership, supervisory, or program coordination role. Demonstrated ability to build teams, motivate staff, and manage group dynamics. Strong communication skills with youth, families, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of youth development principles and behavior management strategies. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid Arizona Driver's License. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements Youth development work is active and hands‑on. This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds, as well as the emotional energy and patience needed to support young people in a dynamic environment.
