GED Full Job Description Job Description:
This position is responsible for developing new business through outside sales and calling efforts, structuring and closing commercial loans and as well as retail deposits. Responsibilities include daily supervision of branch staff, including loan officers and operational staff. The position has a base salary, car allowance, and receives a lucrative compensation plan that pays for new loan dollars booked.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acquisition, expansion, and retention of commercial borrowing and deposit relationships using a proactive calling strategy. Directly manages branch lending and operational staff on a daily basis, providing coaching, development and discipline to help meet sales goals and to provide exceptional customer service. Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes credit recommendations to management. Represents the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs and charitable organizations. Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to consistently demonstrate the Bank's Core Values Comply with all bank policies, regulations, and laws while carrying out duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience in banking or a minimum of 3 years in lending experience. Knowledge of lending regulations, policies and procedures. Business development and supervision experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrates good judgment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people. Takes initiative in development and completion of projects. Working knowledge of commercial lending terms, practices, as well as Bank policies and procedures. High quality writing skills, using accurate word usage, grammar and punctuation. Ability to perform and understand specific math operations, ratios, and percentages. Significant daily computer use will be necessary in this role. Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Teams & Outlook preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Job Functions and Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, stooping, typing. Physical effort/lifting primarily sedentary work with the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
