Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Leads operations for one or more assigned Heavy Duty Truck dealership locations and surrounding territory. Responsible for overall financial results, establishing a fair, safe, and productive working environment that values and develops all employees appropriately. Ensures all customers receive best in class service through our employees' teamwork and effective execution of their daily jobs.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads one or more high volume multiple business unit facility to include Sales, Service, Parts, Body Shop, etc., operating in compliance with established policies and procedures. Continuously evaluates each department's operating results and performance against company approved and preestablished objectives and sets new directions as needed. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers, to encourage repeat and referral business. Ensures we meet/exceed their expectations and resolves escalated service issues appropriately. Maintains positive relationships with factory representatives and both understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty procedures. Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of each department manager, and ensures they do the same for their assigned teams. Functions as the department manager during an absence or position opening. Creates and leads a work environment of employee development, ensuring that training plans are in place and leaders provide regular coaching and performance feedback to all. Creates a culture of open communication by conducting management meetings and meetings with employees as needed to keep others informed and engaged. Leads efforts to remain updated and compliant with all company policies and procedures and with federal, state, and local regulations that affect operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Performs other duties and/or leads projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Schedules and supervises all employees.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree preferred; additional relevant training/certification is a plus. 5+ years of related leadership experience managing a P&L operation; industry knowledge is essential.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors Proficient in business math to include factoring discounts, interest, commissions, and applying common sense reasoning to compile a business plan.
