SUMMARY- Directs the overall activities of the branch to continually and simultaneously serve the customers. Invests time in personnel development. Also manage and maintain individual, household, and business portfolio. Profile customer to determine their needs, then cross-sell appropriate products and services and/or refer customers to appropriate partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
BRANCH MANAGER
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amount, and examine checks for endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, and overall legality of the document. Accurately process customer transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and loan payments. Disburse funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals. Proper cash management to include balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Oversees and develops the branch staff and ensures they have adequate equipment and training to conduct their necessary responsibilities. Develops and maintains team concept to ensure delivery of excellent customer service. Prepares work schedules and assigns duties to the branch staff to ensure efficient operation. Conducts staff meetings or confers with branch personnel to discuss operational problems or explain procedural changes or practices. Assist with hiring and salary review of customer service personnel as well as conducting annual performance assessments. Ensures the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations. Manages the security and safety of the branch, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by staff. Oversees the maintenance of the branch's physical facilities to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds and buildings. Directs activities involving implementation of Thumb Bank & Trust services and functions including collecting delinquencies on deposit accounts and consumer loans, authorizing consumer loans, or opening deposit accounts. Resolves customer and employee concerns, conflicts, and inquiries in a manner consistent with Thumb Bank & Trust's core values. Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business. Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to maintain confidential information. Proven ability to effectively cross-sell and meet established goals. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively. Professional in appearance and mannerisms. Ability to remain composed under pressure, problem solve and defuse tensions to provide solutions to customer issues. Possess excellent math, cash handling, problem solving, organizational, computer, written and verbal communication skills. Dependable, detail oriented, work accurately and enjoy working with the public. Available to work branch hours, including weekends. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Be comfortable and easily adapt to change and technology.
