This individual will oversee customer service, sales support, inventory accuracy, employee supervision, and delivery coordination while ensuring efficient branch operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working with customers, coaching employees, solving problems, and maintaining a well-organized operation. Retail management experience is a plus, particularly in environments that emphasize customer service, inventory control, and team leadership. Essential ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and commercial customers. Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently. Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally. Coordinate with inside and outside sales personnel to ensure timely order fulfillment. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and regular inventory reviews. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments. Ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and labeled. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Branch Operations Oversee the daily operations of the branch. Ensure branch appearance, cleanliness, and safety standards are maintained. Develop and improve operational procedures to increase efficiency. Coordinate with corporate departments regarding purchasing, inventory, accounting, and customer service. Team Leadership Supervise and support branch employees. Schedule staff to meet customer and operational needs. Train, coach, and develop employees. Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback. Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment. Delivery & Logistics Coordinate and route delivery trucks for maximum efficiency. Schedule deliveries based on customer priorities and driver availability. Communicate with drivers regarding route changes and customer needs. Monitor delivery performance and resolve scheduling issues. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records and documentation. Prepare operational reports as requested. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Assist with month-end inventory and other operational reporting. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Three or more years of supervisory or management experience. Strong customer service skills. Experience with order entry and inventory management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based business systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred Retail management experience. Experience in distribution, wholesale, industrial supply, propane, HVAC, welding, or construction supply industries. Experience coordinating delivery routes or logistics. Forklift experience or willingness to become certified. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
