About the role The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for the direction of daily branch operations of all three Missoula Branches. Ensures established policies and procedures are followed. Supervises and coaches' subordinates to meet or exceed sales and service expectations in various types of situations through goal setting and one-on-one discussions. Assist with planning and executing effective branch meetings. Completes performance evaluations. Ensures members are promptly and professionally served. Has lending authority based on credit union policy. Participates in community related activities as a representative of the credit union. Will assist in all branch functions to include all lending, account openings, transaction & member service needs as required. What you'll do Adheres to all company policies and procedures as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. Directs daily operations of the branches assigned. Ensures proper vault controls are in place and that adequate cash levels are maintained in branches assigned. Supervises tiered structure branch employees to include hiring, training, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. Effectively plan, organize, direct, analyze and evaluate staff and processes to solve business issues and develop solution-oriented recommendations. Works with others to meet member needs in a responsive and efficient manner across departments and branches. Underwrites loans within lending authority as assigned per credit union policy. Monitor loan portfolio to ensure a high-quality asset base and work delinquencies in conjunction with the Member Solutions Manager. Assist as needed to ensure all member service needs are met. This may include loan requests, account openings or closings, notary services, wire transfers or account inquiries or maintenance. Ensures safety and security measures are effectively implemented within the branches assigned. Ensures branch staff adhere to regulatory compliance and internal policies and procedures. Maintain accurate statistical records of branch activity and relevant information. Ensures direct reports' member service scores are maintained at a level equal to or above the established standard. Coach where improvement is needed. Ensures the credit union's professional reputation is maintained through community involvement. Assists with ensuring the branch's physical location and image is always maintained. Ensures direct reports' professional appearance and conduct meet standards. Embodies the Park Side Pillars of Pride, Purpose, Professionalism and Passion. Backs up the Branch Manager in their absence. Performance Metrics Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff to meet daily member demands and to promote member satisfaction, retention, and expansion. Maintain accurate reporting, appropriate tracking and measurement of branch activity and results. Meet or exceed branch goals as determined by management. Maintain employee performance records and support growth through coaching, feedback, and evaluations. Review staff and processes to improve service levels and provide solution-oriented recommendations for improvement. Maintain and develop training and procedures for existing and new branch functions. Always ensure maintenance of branch's physical appearance and mechanical items. Meet or exceed lending goals and hold delinquencies and charge-offs at or below standards determined by management. Provide informed, professional, timely, and accurate service and support to all members and associates. Requirements A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for the purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Maintain confidentiality with all member activities. Fostering sound relationships with others is necessary. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Experience in analyzing personal and business financial statements and assessing personal tax returns desired. Problem solving, solution-oriented and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing needs are essential. Must have excellent communication and PR skills. Must have the ability to learn and proficiently use various software programs. Qualifications A high school education or equivalent Two to five years of related or similar leadership experience preferred or demonstration of leadership provided. Previous financial experience desired.
Pay:
$62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
