Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work independently with minimal direction. They must be fully proficient at intermediate level or above in MS Office. Excellent data entry skills, including speed and accuracy are required. Attention to detail critical in all aspects of duties is required. This includes experience responding quickly to urgent situations in a thoughtful and appropriate manner. Ability to read a map and have knowledge of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The Operations Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service by effectively performing all management and dispatch functions for Velox Express, Inc. This could include contracting, training, collecting and scanning paperwork, communicating between branches to meet or exceed requested delivery times, entering information onto excel spread sheets, training, scheduling, entering information into various programs in order to keep our clients aware of any issues, changes or completion of orders, all aspects of inventory involving the warehouse from shipping and receiving to monthly counts, supply orders for interoffice needs as well as for clients who require special packaging an and shipping material. They will also assist our call center and Independent Contractors with communicating with our clients by accessing and interpreting customer information for them, entering notes to assist with client concerns. Provide excellent service to our clients by contacting and dispatching Independent Contractors to complete deliveries. Provide excellent service to our clients and Independent Contractors by responding to telephone requests and emails for stat, standard, scheduled and route deliveries. Monitor dispatched Independent Contractors for completion of delivery and availability. Work with clients and Independent Contractors to prioritize deliveries and update information as needed. Complete and maintain all information and documentation related to the manager role. This includes using various programs on both computers as well as cell phones. Ensure information collected from clients as well as Independent Contractors is entered into and shows completion in all systems. Interpret client orders to respond to inquiries and complaints regarding transfers or service issues. Utilize various systems to generate reports. Provide coverage on an as needed basis for deliveries and dispatch after hours. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualification or a High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of excellent management and dispatching experience required. Must be able to pass a thorough national background check, drug screen, possess a valid driver's license and maintain automobile insurance Pay will be determined
