Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Branch Manager/Consumer Loan Officer to lead our team and drive the success of our Enderlin branch. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage loan origination and processing, and ensure compliance with federal regulations. Member service and credit analysis will empower you to build strong client relationships, facilitate loan approvals efficiently, and foster a high-performance team environment. A background in mortgage servicing/lending is preferred, but a desire to learn is necessary. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the branch team to achieve targets through proactive financial strategies and exceptional member service. Manage the loan lifecycle from origination through closing, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments utilizing financial software and other tools to evaluate borrower eligibility. Negotiate loan terms with members, ensuring clarity on contracts, escrow procedures, and compliance. Oversee loan documentation accuracy. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage servicing practices, underwriting procedures, and Fair Housing regulations to ensure fair treatment of all applicants. Monitor branch performance metrics regularly to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements. Experience Prior leadership experience as a branch manager or team supervisor is preferred but not required; a strong desire to develop leadership skills is essential. Strong background in loan origination, processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing practices. Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial sales role within banking or mortgage industries. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining compliance with contracts and legal standards. Excellent member service skills combined with basic math proficiency for credit analysis and financial calculations, and proficiency with financial software.
