(a premium, high-quality, industrial, and agricultural heavy equipment manufacturer, based in the United States with a global presence) Our territory consists of the Hudson Valley New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania region. We are looking to hire a Branch Manager to add to our already accomplished Brewster, NY team. The perfect individual will be someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who will assume responsibility for total operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives in our growing and successful Brewster, NY location. This position will have dedicated individuals to act as mentors who will provide full comprehensive training to support this important role. The Vermeer North Atlantic (VNA) Branch Manager is responsible for the total business operations and Branch performance. The Branch Manager promotes excellence in customer service, customer retention, and growth of existing and new business. In addition, the Branch Manager owns all Branch operations in terms of Service, Parts and Rental Sales, cost control, inventory management, personnel, HR compliance, safety, and facility management. The Branch Manager provides strong positive and consistent leadership to cultivate and maintain an upbeat productive, collaborative, and high performing Team that supports VNA's Company Mission and Vision and Culture of integrity, honesty, and respect.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensure proper staffing is maintained to meet customer experience needs by participating in hiring, screening, and onboarding processes and procedures of new associates with the help of our Training and Development Manager in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Provide opportunities for Team Members to cross-train. Identify and develop talent within departments by providing continual training, developmental action planning, and meaningful feedback on job performance to Team Members. Provide clear direction, ongoing feedback, and hold each Team Member accountable for their performance and results. Create an environment where other Leaders and/or Team Members are empowered to make decisions. Clearly communicate and consistently enforce Company policies and procedures. Participate and complete all applicable company training programs. Understand and ensure adherence to Local, State, and Federal regulations, such as Department of Labor Regulations, as they relate to branch operations and Team Members. Recommend continuous improvements to refine or execute existing marketing strategies to improve Sales goals. Make sound and timely decisions daily using knowledge and experience that will impact business goals and strategies. Monitor sales, profit, cost trends, and develop plans of action as required. Manage controllable expenses including payroll, maintenance, supplies, etc. Ensure all reports and records are accurate, complete, and retained in accordance with Company policy, i.e., parts inventory, service, rental, and sales processes. Understand and manage the impact of branch financials and reports and develop plans to achieve budgeted goals. Responsible for all banking, accounting, and clerical functions from the Service Advisors & Parts to the Rental Team. Supervise and manage a team of 5 to 7 Team Members. Maintain an open line of communication and work cooperatively with all business partners across the company. Ability to be flexible and assist other areas of the Branch when needed. Set and maintain the expectation for the proper planning of daily/weekly/monthly workflows in all departments. Monitor and ensure cleanliness and neatness in all areas of the Branch, including all internal, external buildings, and grounds, especially the service shop, parts area, showroom, and all customer facing areas. Responsible for ensuring that the Branch is fully stocked, and properly merchandised in all display areas, shelves, and other applicable displays according to department standards. Understand, utilize all required business systems, and current technology as relates to successful Branch operations. Responsible for regular updating and communicating with Department Managers and Company General Manager daily/weekly/monthly. Maintain punctual and regular attendance. Conduct regular safety and update meetings weekly/monthly. Work with the Company Department Managers to master productivity, profitability, effective marketing of products promotions. Be a positive role model to your Team by providing excellent customer service to each and every customer. Demonstrate a can do/will do spirit by going the extra mile for all customers and Team members. Encourage and recognize Team Member's to provide a positive Customer Experience. Oversee all Team Member/customer conflicts providing positive resolutions. Manage sensitive situations including difficult customer interactions with patience and emotional intelligence. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervise day to day direction of all Associates in all departments. Responsible to stand in for each department and transact with customers directly when needed. Ensure the proper maintenance requirements on all company owned equipment. Ensure the accuracy of item pricing, item locations, and shelf locations. Ensure and help manage the branches equipment footprint in new and rental equipment. Provide strong, positive, and proactive leadership to all members of the Branch Team. Coach, mentor, and encourage all Team Member's to be successful. Lead Team Members to work cooperatively while encouraging enthusiasm, loyalty, and creativity. Demonstrating enthusiastic abilities to bring energy to the performance of a task.
