Summary:
The Branch Manager oversees the overall operations and strategic direction of the Branch and is responsible for adherence to branch and lending regulatory compliance. They facilitate a relationship culture and promote our products and services by cultivating personal and business lending and deposit relationships while advocating for the communities in which they work and live.
Key Responsibilities:
Lending & Relationships:
Grow existing bank relationships through trusted and professional business communications with internal and external customers. Prospect bank lending and deposit relationships through community advocacy and involvement in civic and community functions. Process business and personal loan applications and gathers supporting documents for loan underwriting. Perform financial analysis for credit decisions and presents to credit committee as part of the decision process. Collaborate with Bank partners to make and receive internal product and service referrals.
Branch Operations and Compliance:
Oversee branch operations and recommend product changes and service development to ensure customer satisfaction and bank profitability. Implements and monitors compliance measures, addressing issues as they arise and finding solutions to mitigate risk and enhance Branch performance. Meet regularly with Branch staff to communicate changes to policies and procedures and facilitate ongoing training and coaching to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Maintain a working knowledge of State and Federal banking regulations and enforce branch compliance with applicable banking regulations, laws, and guidelines. Use extensive regulatory and procedural knowledge to understand, approve, and override transactions while mitigating risk to the Bank and our customers.
Personnel Management:
Oversee the training, mentoring, coaching, and supervision of retail banking staff to ensure adherence to branch policy, procedures, security, and operational requirements. Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
The ideal candidate for a Branch Manager possesses a combination of education and experience to be able to perform the primary duties of this position with little supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously . They adapt easily to system, process, product, and service changes, and are able to reason, solve problems and think critically . They must demonstrate a high level of integrity, personal diplomacy, and respect and must be willing to invest in the ongoing mentorship of a team . Extensive knowledge of Federal banking regulations, financial services, and industry workflow is a must to execute CorTrust s mission and goals, mitigate risk, and achieve results.
