Job Description

Overview We are seeking a General Manager to independently lead our transportation team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of transportation operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and profitability. Your leadership will shape the performance and satisfaction of all team members. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self starter who can operate independently with a high level of success. Duties Manage all personnel including overseeing performance, hiring, training, and termination. Own relationships with vendors ranging from software providers to maintenance shops. Oversee profit and loss management by controlling costs, maximizing revenue streams, and ensuring targets are met or exceeded. Drive business development initiatives by creating relationships with facilities and selling our services. Manage projects related to software, vehicles, and personnel. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, transportation laws, and company policies while maintaining high standards of safety performance. Cover gaps when employees are out sick. This includes dispatching and driving. Skills Proven management experience with the ability to lead diverse teams in an operational environment. Supervisory experience that includes coaching staff, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting professional development. Business development acumen to identify growth opportunities and expand service capabilities within competitive markets. Project management skills for overseeing fleet upgrades, route planning initiatives, and process improvement projects efficiently.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
