Job Description
Description Bookkeeper Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and assisting with financial reporting. Key Responsibilities + Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable + Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts + Prepare and post journal entries + Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records + Generate invoices and monitor collections activities + Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations + Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations + Support month-end and year-end close processes + Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures + Maintain organized financial records and documentation + Assist with audits and special projects as needed Requirements Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred + Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent organizational and time-management skills + Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information Preferred Qualifications + Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting platforms + Payroll processing experience + Experience working in a small business or multi-entity environment Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
