Full-Time, In Office About A.T. Meridian Construction A.T. Meridian Construction LLC is a leading general contractor specializing in commercial and residential construction projects across Arizona. We take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and reliable service, maintaining a strong reputation built on integrity, teamwork, and precision. Position Summary The Accounting Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our accounting and project management functions. This position's primary focus will be billing, but will also assist with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction office environment. Key Responsibilities- Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare and process progress billings for construction projects.
- Ensure all invoices are accurate, properly supported, and submitted on time.
- Track payments and maintain billing schedules.
- Administrative Support
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately.
- Print and distribute checks as needed.
- Create and process conditional and unconditional lien waivers.
- Assist in managing subcontractor and vendor documentation.
- Project & Accounting Systems
- Enter commitments and invoices into Procore.
- Support job cost tracking and document management within Procore.
- Utilize Sage 100 Contractor for data entry, billing, and reporting.
- Assist with timesheet collection.
- General Accounting Tasks
- Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.
- Support the accounting team with reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Experience:
1-3 years of accounting or administrative experience (construction industry experience a plus).Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Procore and Sage 100 Contractor strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional communication and customer service abilities. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a deadline-driven environment. Compensation & Benefits- Competitive salary based on experience.
