Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting Clerk for a respected educational organization in Yuma, Arizona. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity. Monday through Friday schedule, typically between 7:00/8:00 AM and 4:00/5:00 PM, with occasional attendance at school-related events outside of regular business hours as needed.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the organization. This position assists with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, account reconciliations, audit preparation, grant management, and compliance activities. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with finance leadership to support month-end and year-end processes, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the finance department. Accounts payable will be the main function. PERKS- Competitive pay of $17.00- $19.00 per hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily accounting and finance operations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting activities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support internal and external audit activities and compliance requirements
- Prepare reports and assist with presenting financial information to leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Two or more years of related experience in acccounting with a focus on accounts payable.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
