As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, numbers-focused, and interested in developing their accounting skills in a professional environment. Position Summary The Accounting Assistant will work closely with our Accountant and provide support with daily accounting and administrative tasks. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring expenses are properly reviewed and documented. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working with numbers, and able to manage routine tasks with accuracy and consistency. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Transaction Support Assist the Accountant with daily accounting tasks and administrative support. Prepare and create checks for team members and business expenses. Enter and organize expense data accurately into accounting systems and records. Review expense reports and verify that transactions are accurate and properly documented. Validate expenses to ensure all transactions are legitimate and supported by proper documentation. Maintain organized records of checks, receipts, invoices, and expense-related documents. Assist with tracking and reconciling expenses as needed. Communicate any discrepancies or questions regarding transactions to the Accountant. Administrative Support Maintain accurate and updated financial files and records. Assist with general accounting-related administrative tasks. Can work independently while following guidance and direction from the Accountant. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative support preferred. Experience with expense tracking, data entry, or financial records is a plus. Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
