  • Part-time Position Overview We are a small tax-based practice in North Orange County with over 30 years of experience.
We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper to join our team. The bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting accounting operations including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate accounting records for clients in various industries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Key Responsibilities Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and financial accounts Ensure all transactions are properly recorded Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Prepare and file sales tax returns Assist with tax projections Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax filings Investigate and resolve account discrepancies Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required Minimum 1
  • 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, Microsoft Office Experience with payroll processing and sales tax is a plus Experience preparing financial reports and analyzing financial data Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle, financial statements, and reconciliations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism This role provides valuable experience while offering flexible hours tailored to your schedule.
