Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a services organization in Burbank, California. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payables and receivables, and contributing to a well-organized finance function. The ideal candidate brings solid bookkeeping knowledge, strong software skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Review financial entries, supporting records, and numerical data to confirm accuracy and completeness before posting.
- Maintain bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to keep records current and reliable.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice handling, payment tracking, and collections support.
- Prepare routine financial summaries, reports, and supporting schedules related to expenses, cash activity, and operating results.
- Enter accounting data and process invoices while ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and aligned with compliance standards.
- Provide administrative and project support to the accounting team across multiple entities as business needs arise.
- Manage electronic and physical accounting files, preserving confidentiality and maintaining orderly record retention practices.
- Process check deposits through electronic or manual methods and ensure timely recording in the accounting system.
