Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the accounting department by performing routine accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with daily financial operations. This role helps ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as directed Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems Reconcile bank statements Prepare and maintain documentation Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting matters Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports Adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Required Experience Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance role Experience working with accounting software and financial systems Familiarity with basic accounting principles Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to function at a high level with the Company's ERP system Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Prior experience in a manufacturing or regulated industry environment Knowledge of internal controls and audit support Working Conditions Office-based work environment Standard business hours with occasional overtime during month-end or year-end close Minimal travel required Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer Ability to view computer screens and financial documents for prolonged durations Ability to occasionally lift or move office materials up to 15 pounds Compliance & Other Requirements Must comply with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls Adherence to confidentiality and data protection requirements Compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting standards Commitment to ethical business practices and professional conduct
