Job Description

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a stable, community-focused financial institution in El Cajon. This role is 100% onsite and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured accounting work, daily balancing, reconciliations, and long-term career growth.

Targeting the second week of July Responsibilities may include: Assist with routine accounting postings and daily transaction activity Support daily GL balancing and account reconciliations Post and reconcile ATM transactions Assist with Accounts Payable and other back-office accounting functions Maintain accurate records and support month-end accounting activity Follow established procedures in a process-driven accounting environment Support the accounting team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of accounting experience preferred Credit union, banking, lending, loan processing, teller, or similar financial institution experience strongly preferred Comfortable with routine postings, reconciliations, daily balancing, and process-driven accounting work Strong Excel skills Stable work history and long-term mindset Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in El Cajon Nice to
Have:
