JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This entry-level position provides support to both the Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions by ensuring accurate financial data entry, processing transactions, and assisting with daily accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter high volumes of vendor invoices into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy. Process customer payments and assist with maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. Create, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets to support A/P and A/R activities. Prepare and upload financial data and spreadsheets into the company's ERP system. Coordinate with location managers to reconcile and close purchase orders, process credits, & manage warranty returns. Organize and maintain both electronic and physical accounting records. Respond professionally to emails and communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers. Assist with general administrative and accounting tasks as assigned to support the finance team.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data organization. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred. Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is helpful but not required.
