In this vital role, you will manage the company's financial transactions related to incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and facilitating smooth financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills in corporate accounting, financial software, and data entry will drive efficiency and accuracy. Duties Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, collections, and customer account management. Handle accounts payable functions by verifying, coding, and entering vendor invoices. Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, ensuring all debits and credits are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation for audit readiness. Support governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Requirements Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general ledger accounting within a corporate or governmental setting. Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred. Solid understanding of GAAP standards. Ability to analyze financial data critically while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating strong organizational skills. Strong math skills combined with attention to detail to ensure precise account analysis and reconciliation.
