Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist Location:
Mira Loma, CA Compensation:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type:
Direct Hire We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced and growing organization in the Mira Loma area. This position will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, maintaining vendor relationships, supporting cash application activities, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company procedures. Match invoices to purchase orders, receiving documents, and supporting records before payment processing. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, and vendor payment issues by working closely with internal departments and external vendors. Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements while maintaining proper documentation and approvals. Coordinate employee reimbursement requests and ensure timely payment processing. Reconcile cash receipts and deposits to customer payments and assist with maintaining accurate accounting records. Monitor outstanding invoices and payment activity to ensure obligations are met according to established terms. Serve as a primary contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account reconciliation matters. Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and audit support as needed. Provide backup support for accounts receivable and other accounting functions when required. Maintain organized financial records and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent accounts payable experience in a high-volume transaction environment. Strong understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, reconciliations, and payment processing. Experience working within an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, NAV, or similar platforms are highly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Subtotals, and data analysis functions. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments. Preferred Background Experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or other high-volume operational environments. Exposure to both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Pay Details:
