$25.00 - $35.00 per hour (DOE) Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing vendor invoices, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting department. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Process and verify vendor invoices, subcontractor invoices, and expense reports. Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation. Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and timely into accounting software. Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and vendor payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized digital and physical AP records. Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries. Track lien releases, W-9s, certificates of insurance, and vendor compliance documents. Support project managers and operations teams with invoice approvals. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred. Construction industry experience strongly preferred. Experience with QuickBooks, Pro DBX similar accounting software. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is must.
